This is from Lorriane at EarlyVoteCT and shared by Selina!
Upcoming events:
1. Trump Bridge Rally (Contact James Meyers (facebook)
Saturday, April 12, Noon to 3pm
Cadillac Ranch , 45 Jude Lane, Southington, CT.
Heading East on I-84, exit 31; Heading West on I-84 exit 31 for CT-229/West St, continue to Jude Ln.
Vote Early CT will be registering voters; Anne Ahearn, who has experience registering voters, will be there, and will be happy to teach people how to do voter registration. We will have a light blue canopy set up (weather permitting). Come by to meet/greet/strategize/ volunteer to help/share new ideas. Let's discuss how we can get more people out to vote - and answer the question: what is holding them back from voting?
Jonathan DeBarros, US Congress 5th District, CT and Christopher Lancia, US Congress 3rd District will be at the Rally.
-I will also be asking visitors to make short 15-30 sec videos that I can add to fb, X, and the website.
2. Murphy Must Go Rally, April 13, Bethel CT (organizer: Palin Smith, Connecticut for Trump)
1pm-3pm, 189 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT 06801 (corner of Library Place and Greenwood Ave.)
We will bring our voter registration materials. Great time to show that democrats are not the only ones who can gather to make their voices heard...only difference is we will not be paid :)
3.April 26, 2025 Fundraiser for 5th Congressional district candidate, Jonathan DeBarros
We will be there registering people to vote, and encouraging everyone to get out to vote in the upcoming local elections.
Courtyard by Marriott, 63 Grand Street, Waterbury, CT
4. Voter Registration at The Gun Store, 130 Scott Road, Waterbury, CT 06705
The Gun Store has very graciously offered to allow Vote Early CT to register voters on their property each and every Saturday and Sunday.! In the US, there are approximately 10M hunters and gun owners who are NOT registered to vote. 24% of CT citizens are gun owners. We need to get more supporters of the 2nd amendment registered to vote. Would you like to volunteer to do voter registration at the Gun Store? Let me know.
Jonathan DeBarros has been recruiting other gun stores and barbershops for voter registration events, which we also need people to cover. along with other locales in Waterbury.
5. Farmer's Market: there are a number of farmer markets around the state in the summer. They can all be found on this website: https://ctvisit.com/articles/farmers-markets-connecticut-%E2%80%94-2025
Vote Early CT can supply the table, forms, etc. for voter registration and will assist in paying the table fee. Would anyone like to volunteer to cover a farmer's market over the summer?
There are a number of farmers markets and other events in Bridgeport this summer. I contacted the Bridgeport organizer for the farmers markets, and was given the ok to set up there, but I need people willing to cover the market days.
Bridgeport is an important city to get conservatives registered. For conservatives to win in CT, we must make inroads into the larger cities, which have traditionally been democrats (Hartford, New Haven, New London, Bridgeport, Danbury, Stamford, New Britain, etc.).
I did confirm with the Danbury Farmer's Market this morning that we will be accepted for a table. It will probably be every-other-week, so I will need people to help cover this activity.
6. Any other ideas for doing voter registration are welcome! Please feel free to respond to this email.
7. I will be posting some info. on voter statistics in CT on FB and X.
8. We will also be starting up a regular Spaces meeting on X, in the next few weeks.
thanks, and I welcome your feedback.
